About Me

I am a practicing Midwife, a lover of the ocean, and a traveler at heart.

I have been a practicing Registered Nurse since 2007 and have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I am a Licensed Midwife through the Medical Board of CA, and a Certified Professional Midwife through the North American Registry of Midwives.  I trained as a Midwife at a high-volume birth center in El Paso, TX called Maternidad La Luz, graduating in 2016, and subsequently obtained additional experience at Luna Tierra Birth Center in 2019, after which I obtained my license. I actively maintain certifications in Basic Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation.  Additionally, I have extensive clinical practice in assisting lactation and am currently working towards a lactation certification.  I divide my time between PV and CA.

I believe Midwifery is a journey of continuous learning.  My practice is based in science, but I honor the magic and mystery of each birth.  I practice inclusive, trauma-informed care and bring a calm and grounded presence to births.  As a Midwife, I enjoy working with pregnant people and families of all types, supporting them to have the birth experience they desire, safely.  In my work as a nurse, my passion lies in working with marginalized and disadvantaged populations, providing them with dignified, safe and loving care during the perinatal period.  I continue to support disadvantaged populations through my volunteer and philanthropic work.  I am humbled by the opportunity to participate in each client’s unique experience.
